The Leonardo is another soccer trick that's supposed to put your direct opponent an the wrong foot. You can use this to create space or time for yourself.

The Leonardo is harder than it looks, so don't underestimate this soccer trick.

A good thing about the Leonardo is that you can use it in combination with a lot of other soccer tricks.

Tips and Advices

Practice step 1 in a stationary position as much as possible. Do this as fast as possible while still keeping control over the ball.

Try step 2 and step 3 a few times to get the feeling. You should now how to put your foot before using the Leonardo in a match.

Execute step 3 with the inside of your foot.

Master the Leonardo with both feet. As I always say, this makes you more versatile.

Accelerate as fast as possible in step 4. Get past your opponent and then keep your body between the ball and your opponent.

In Steps

Use the Leonardo when you're facing an opponent.

Step 1
Start knocking the ball from the inside of one foot to the inside of the other. Repeat this as many times as you think is necessary.

Step 2
When you're ready to beat your opponent, turn one of your feet 60-80 degrees.

Step 3
With this foot, knock the ball past your opponent.

Step 4
Go after the ball by quickly accelerating.
