Toe Flick

Ronaldinho is known for a lot of different soccer tricks. One of them is the Toe Flick. It's a way to flick up the ball. And as we are used of Ronaldinho, it looks amazing.

The Toe Flick isn't very useful in a match, but it's a nice way to start a freestyle routine, for example.

Most people agree that the Toe Flick shouldn't be used in a match. But in the soccer video below, you'll see Ronaldinho using the Toe Flick followed by an Akka, to beat an opponent.

In Steps

Step 1
Place the ball in front of you. Put your feet at shoulder width. The ball should be at one line with your toes.

Step 2
Put the bottom of your toes, or the sole of the front of your foot, on the of the ball. (I suggest you master this step with your dominant foot first)

Step 3
Roll the ball towards the big toe of your other foot.

Step 4
When the ball touches the front of your other foot, flick it up by lifting your toes.

Tips and Advices

Your standing foot doesn't even have to leave the surface when performing the Toe Flick. Stand on your heel and lift the front of your foot in step 4.

Don't lift your toes too early. This might cause the ball to bounce back.

Take a relaxed and comfortable position when performing the Toe Flick or you might lose your balance.
