Thierry Henry is known for special soccer tricks. His soccer tricks aren't for on the field, but more to show off. We've already seen the Henry Backheel Flick. In this soccer tutorial, you're going to learn the Henry Backheel Spin Shot.

The Henry Backheel Spin Shot was used for a Nike commercial. In this commercial, Henry uses the Henry Backheel Spin Shot to score a goal while standing on the back line.

With todays pace in soccer matches, it's almost impossible to use the Henry Backheel Spin Shot. To perform the Henry Backheel Spin Shot, you need to put the ball on your opponent's back line. Besides that, you need some time and concentration to use the soccer trick.

In Steps

In this tutorial, I assume you're right-footed.

Step 1
Put the ball on the back line at no more than 0,50 meter from the goal's first post.

Step 2
Put your left foot in front of the ball.

Step 3
Hit the ball with the inside of your right foot.

Step 4
The ball should hit the right part of your left heel.

Tips and Advices

You could hit the ball with the instep of your right foot in step 3, but you'll have more control if you use the inside of your foot.

The Henry Backheel Spin Shot is easier to perform on concrete than on grass. That's because the ball has more grip on concrete, which is necessary to let the ball come back to you.

Step 4 is very important. If you'd just hit the center piece of your heel, the ball would bounce back against your left foot.

Once you've mastered the Henry Backheel Spin Shot, you can put more power in step 3 to get the ball further and put more effect on it. It looks best when the ball bounces only once before it goes into the goal.

Once you've mastered the Henry Backheel Spin Shot, try to score on a smaller goal. This is to increase your accuracy.
